Israeli Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians In West Bank Weekly Protests

On Friday, Israeli soldiers injured many Palestinians, including some who were shot with live fire, and caused damage to six cars during the weekly protests against the illegal Annexation Wall and Colonies across the occupied West Bank.

In Sinjil town, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, the soldiers fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs at the Palestinians before physically assaulting several many residents, causing injuries.

The attack in Sinjil occurred after several illegal Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian farmlands in the ar-Rafid area in the village, where the colonizers are trying to install an outpost on the Palestinian lands.

Media sources said two colonizers were injured after the Palestinians intercepted their attack and hurled stones at them.

The Palestinians were trying to tend to their lands and plant them when the colonizers and the soldiers attacked them.

As a result, six Palestinian cars were damaged, two Palestinians were shot with live rounds, two with rubber-coated steel bullets, and dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, the soldiers attacked the weekly procession and shot four young men with rubber-coated steel bullets. The soldiers also ambushed and tried to abduct several Palestinians.

This week’s procession in Kufur Qaddoum was also held in solidarity with seriously ailing, cancer-stricken Palestinian detainee, Nasser Abu Hmeid, imprisoned by Israel and denied the right to specialized medical treatment.

The soldiers also attacked a nonviolent procession near the main entrance of the al-Jeeb village, northwest of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and injured five Palestinians who were pepper-sprayed and assaulted; among the wounded were Moayyad Sha’ban, the head of the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission in Jerusalem, and nonviolent activist Omar Maw’ed.

In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers shot two Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in Beit Dajan village, east of the city.

In Beita town, south of Nablus, the soldiers injured five Palestinians during the weekly procession near the town’s main entrance.

Since May last year, the Palestinians have been holding ongoing processions on their lands in Sbeih Mountain in Nablus after a group of illegal Israeli colonizers installed an outpost atop the Mountain.

The soldiers injured thousands of Palestinians during these protests and killed several others, including children.

Illegal Israeli colonizers also attacked many Palestinians and cars in several areas of the Nablus governorate.

In Bethlehem, illegal Israeli colonizers installed a tent to set up a new outpost on the stolen lands near the main entrance of the al-Khas and an-No’man villages, east of the city.
