Israeli Colonizers Destroy Water Pipelines, Attack Homes, Near Bethlehem

On Thursday, illegal Israeli colonizers invaded Kisan village and the Khalayel al-Loiz area in the Bethlehem governorate, in the occupied West Bank, destroyed water pipelines, and attacked homes.

Several illegal colonizers invaded the Wad Ebyan area in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, and damaged pipelines providing water for the Palestinian homes and agricultural lands.

Local sources said a large group of colonizers invaded the Palestinian lands and damaged the pipelines before fleeing the area.

The village is subject to constant assaults and violations by the paramilitary colonizers who attack the farmers, their homes and lands, and the shepherds.

The colonizers also invaded the Khalayel al-Louz area, south of Bethlehem, and hurled stones at several Palestinian homes, causing damage and anxiety attacks among the residents, especially the children.

Hasan Breijiyya, the head of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission’s office in Bethlehem, identified the owners of some of the attacked homes as Ibrahim Sweiss, Awad Sweiss, and Issa Jubran.

Kisan and Khalayel al-Louz are subject to frequent violations by Israeli soldiers and illegal colonialist settlers; the violations include demolishing homes and structures, uprooting lands, and annexing the lands so that Israel can build and expand its illegal colonies.

All of Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention in addition to various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
