Soldiers Shoot Two Palestinians Near Hebron

On Friday, Israeli soldiers shot two Palestinians with live fire from guns with silencers and caused dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation in the Aseeda area in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Local nonviolent activist, Mohammad Awad, said the Palestinians were holding a nonviolent procession in solidarity with hunger striking detainee Khalil Awawda when the soldiers attacked them with live fire, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The soldiers then used guns with silencers to fire at the protesters, moderately wounding two young men before the medics rushed them to a hospital in Hebron.

Many Palestinians suffered the severe effects of tear gas inhalation and received the needed treatment.

The soldiers also invaded and searched many homes and used the rooftops as firing posts and monitoring towers.
