Soldiers Abduct A Palestinian, Confiscate Cash And Car, In Hebron

On Thursday, Israeli soldiers abducted a Palestinian and confiscated cash from his home and his car in Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded the Sinjar area south of Hebron, searched several homes, and abducted Maher Abu Turki.

The soldiers violently searched Abu Turki’s home before confiscating his car and a sum of cash from his property.

Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Surif town, northwest of Hebron, and searched the home of Mohammad Hmeidan before confiscating cash.

In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, the soldiers abducted five Palestinians, including a former political prisoner, from their homes in several parts of the governorate.

Also at dawn, the soldiers abducted three Palestinians from Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Furthermore, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians from their homes in the Bethlehem governorate in the occupied West Bank.

Committee: “Detainee Abu Hmeid In A Very Serious Condition”

On Thursday, the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee has reported that the cancer-stricken detainee, Nasser Abu Hmeid, 49, is in a serious health condition, adding that his health is gradually declining, an issue that is posing more risk of death.

The Committee’s Lawyer, Karim al-Ajwa, managed to visit the ailing detainee on Thursday and said Nasser recently underwent four chemotherapy sessions and is supposed to have a fifth session at the beginning of this coming month.

Ajwa said that after the fifth session is held at an Israeli medical center, the doctors will do some tests to evaluate the condition of his lungs and whether he is responding to the treatment.

Ajwa added that Abu Hmeid suffers constant pain, fatigue, inability to walk, or breath without oxygen, and is dependent on a wheelchair with an oxygen tank attached whenever he leaves his bed.

The Committee called on the International Community to intervene and secure his release so that he could receive treatment at Palestinian civilian hospitals close to his family.

In August of 2021, after complaints of severe chest pain, Abu Hmeid was diagnosed with a lung tumor, and on October 19, 2021, he underwent surgery to remove a lung tumor that was 10 cm in diameter.

He was transferred back to Ashkelon prison and later began chemotherapy, leaving him at an elevated risk for recurrent infections.

Abu Hmeid, from the Al-Amari camp, east of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank, was detained in 2002 and sentenced to seven life sentences plus 50 years.

Furthermore, the Israeli army has demolished the family home five times, and four of his brothers are in Israeli prisons, while a fifth brother was shot dead by soldiers in 1994.

On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted five Palestinians, including a former political prisoner, from their homes in several parts of the Ramallah governorate, in the central West Bank.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded Qarawat Banik Zeid village, northwest of Ramallah, and searched homes before abducting Samer Roshd Dar Amer and his brother Mohammad.

The soldiers also invaded the al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, and abducted a former political prisoner, Mohammad Wajdi Safi.

In Silwad town, northeast of Ramallah, the soldiers searched several homes and abducted former political prisoner Mohammad Soheil Othman, in addition to Ihsan Mahmoud Hamed.

Many Palestinians protested the invasion of Silwad before the soldiers fired live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Also at dawn, the soldiers abducted three Palestinians from Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Furthermore, the soldiers abducted two Palestinians from their homes in the Bethlehem governorate in the occupied West Bank.

On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers abducted three Palestinians from Jenin in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Several army jeeps invaded Burqin town, west of Jenin, before the soldiers searched homes, causing damage, and abducted Ayman Atiq.

The soldiers also invaded the al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin, and abducted a young man, Ala’ Awni Qabala.

A third Palestinian, As’ad Essam Amro, was abducted from his home in Ya’bad town, west of Jenin.

Protests were reported near Arraba town junction, south of Jenin, and the army also installed roadblocks on several sections of the Jenin-Nablus Road.

The sources added that the soldiers also invaded Doha town, west of Bethlehem, searched homes, and abducted Mahmoud Nasser Badawna, 20.

The invasion into the town led to protests before the soldiers fired a few live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The soldiers also invaded Husan town, west of Bethlehem, before breaking into homes and ransacking them.

Israeli Army Attacks Nonviolent Procession, Injure Two, Near Salfit

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers attacked a nonviolent procession against the escalating Israeli violations and attacks by the Israeli occupation soldiers and the colonizers against the Palestinians, and the confiscation of their lands in Hares town, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit.

The Palestinians nonviolently marched carrying Palestinian flags at the western entrance of Hares town before the soldiers attacked them with concussion grenades and gas bombs and prevented them from reaching their lands in the Khallet Hadidi area, west of the town.

Medical sources said two Palestinians were injured after the army hurled concussion grenades at them.

The soldiers also assaulted the nonviolent protesters and dragged many from the street while suppressing the nonviolent procession, causing several injuries.

In addition, the soldiers installed many roadblocks at the village entrance and surrounding streets, while Israeli police officers also stopped Palestinian cars and ticketed many drivers.

The procession was organized by the residents, the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, various political parties under the ambarella of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and various civil society institutions and was also attended by many international peace activists.

Moayyad Sha’ban, the head of the Salfit office of the Wall & Colonization Resistance Commission, said the Palestinians will not be silent, will defend their homes and lands, and will not allow the illegal colonizers to continue assaulting them.

He added that the colonizers enjoy the protection of the occupation army, and the fundamentalist government that never stops the violations and crimes and continues to illegally annex the Palestinian lands to build and expand its illegal colonies.

On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian car before abducting its driver near Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the soldiers abducted a young man, 28 years of age, at a military roadblock south of the ath-Thaheriyya town, south of Hebron, after opening fire at his car, puncturing its tires.

They added that the soldiers attacked the driver, from Yatta town south of Hebron, and abducted him, before moving him to a detention facility.

The army claimed the driver failed to stop at the roadblock before the soldiers opened fire at his car.

Also, the soldiers invaded a Palestinian home before assaulting the family and abducting one of its members, in addition to confiscating two cars and carpentry equipment in the southern area of Hebron city.

Soldiers Assault Family, Abduct One Palestinian And Confiscate Cars, Carpentry Equipment

On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers invaded a Palestinian home before assaulting the family and abducting one of its members, in addition to confiscating two cars and carpentry equipment in the southern area of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said a large military force invaded the area before storming and ransacking several homes owned by the local Abu Turk family.

They added that the soldiers abducted Maher Daoud Abu Turk, 37, after detaining him and his family for more than four hours in their home.

The soldiers attacked the family, including women and children, in their home, causing various wounds, including Nour Abu Turk, who suffered a dislocated shoulder.

During the invasion, the soldiers confiscated two cars and carpentry equipment owned by the Maher and caused serious damage to his workshop while ransacking it.
