Israeli Army Uproots 1000 Palestinian Olive Saplings Near Qalqilia

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers uprooted at least 1000 olive springs near Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the soldiers invaded an olive orchard in Hijja village, east of Qalqilia, and uprooted 1000 olive trees.

The owner of the orchard, a local farmer identified as Nihad Yousef Da’as, said he planted the olive saplings six months ago in his 75-Dunam orchard.

The Israeli army claimed that lands have been annexed “by the state” and informed the Palestinian that he is not allowed to enter the area.

In related news, Israel decided to build 1446 units for illegal colonialist settlers on Palestinian lands in Sur Baher town, south of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Conference issued a statement denouncing the decision and called on the United Nations to end the Israeli violations against international resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 2334 – UNSCR.

Army Demolishes A Palestinian Home In Jericho

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded Jericho city in the northeastern West Bank, demolished a Palestinian home, and uprooted trees.

Media sources said several army vehicles, including a bulldozer, invaded the Sama Jericho area in the city and demolished a 120 square/meter home owned by Rida Zilbani.

The sources added that the soldiers also uprooted several trees near the demolished home before withdrawing from the city.

The demolished home is near the Palestinian Complex of Government Institutions in the Jericho governorate.

Undercover Israeli Soldiers Kidnap A Palestinian In Bethlehem

On Wednesday, undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated the Doha town, southwest of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, and kidnapped a young Palestinian man.

Media sources said the undercover soldiers infiltrated the town in a car with Palestinian license plates, and kidnapped the young man before regular army units invaded the area and took him away.

The kidnapped Palestinian, Mohammad Emad Faraj, 20, from Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, was delivering cooking gas cylinders to homes in Doha when the undercover soldiers ambushed and kidnapped him.

Israeli Army Transfers Corpse Of Slain Palestinian To His Family

On Wednesday afternoon, the Israeli army transferred the corpse of a Palestinian, who was killed by the soldiers earlier this month, to his family in Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the Israeli District Coordination Office transferred the course of Rafiq Riyad Ghanem, 20, from Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, to his father and the General Commission for Civil Affairs and the District Coordination Office.

Ghanem was then transferred by a Palestinian Red Crescent Ambulance to the Jenin governmental hospital before his scheduled funeral procession and ceremony.

Rafiq was killed on July 6th, 2022, when Israeli soldiers shot him and another Palestinian in Jaba’ town; medical sources said he was shot and seriously injured before the soldiers took him away without allowing Palestinian medics to approach him.

The Israeli District Coordination office later contacted the Palestinian side and informed them that the young man had succumbed to his serious wounds.

Ghanem was shot near his home when the army invaded the town and fired many live rounds, gas bombs, and rubber-coated steel bullets at Palestinian protesters.

He wasn’t participating in protests when the soldiers shot him; his mother said he was wearing shorts and a tank top when he stepped out of the family home minutes before being shot.

His uncle, Hani Ghanem, is also a former political prisoner who was imprisoned by Israel for eighteen years, while his aunt, Ni’ma Ghanem, was killed by the Israeli twenty years earlier, and his grandfather was killed in the year 1948.

Hani said that Rafiq heard a sound near his home and went out to see what was going on before the undercover soldiers, standing at a distance behind him, shot him with two live rounds.

The soldiers also invaded Jenin city and the Jenin refugee camp before undercover officers, driving a car with Palestinian license plates, abducted a former political prisoner, Amid al-Isran, from the refugee camp.

The undercover officers fired a barrage of live rounds at random while withdrawing from the refugee camp and handed Amid to soldiers who forced him in a military vehicle and sped away.

Also, Mousa Khatib said the undercover officers shot his son Fadi Khatib, 20, a former political prisoner who Israel imprisoned for 18 months while standing in front of his home, causing a moderate injury to his leg.

Rafiq was the fourth Palestinian to be killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank in the first six days of July.

In the southern part of the West Bank in Hebron, the soldiers invaded Tarqoumia town, west of the city, searched homes, causing damage, and abducted a young man, Mohammad Hasan Fatafta.

In related news, several Israeli army jeeps invaded Beit Furik town, southeast of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, before the soldiers stormed and ransacked the home of Mofeed Abu Gholmy and confiscated his Nissan Jeep.

The soldiers interrogated Mofeed, the father of a political prisoner, Laith Abu Gholmy, and his family for several hours before withdrawing.

Also, illegal Israeli colonizers gathered at intersections south of Nablus and attacked many Palestinian cars, causing serious damage.

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers bulldozed Palestinian lands and uprooted trees in the al-Isawiya town in occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the Israeli bulldozers started uprooting the Palestinian trees and bulldozing the lands after closing the southeastern area of the town.

Silwanic added that the army also destroyed and removed fences installed by the Palestinians around their lands in the southeastern area of the town.

Israeli Colonizers Injure Five Palestinians Near Nablus

On Tuesday evening, illegal Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian farmers on their lands in Tal village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, wounding five.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in the northern West Bank, said the colonizers assaulted several Palestinian farmers and maced them with pepper spray while working on their lands.

Daghlas added that five Palestinians were injured, including one who was also assaulted by several colonizers, before the soldiers invaded the area and detained him for a few hours.

The colonizers also burnt a mobile home owned by Mohammad Ahmad Hamdan, and caused damage to the windows and windshield of a car owned by the Tal Town Council.

Israeli Soldiers Shoot A Palestinian South of Nablus

On Tuesday evening, Israeli soldiers shot a young Palestinian man at the Huwwara military roadblock, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said the Palestinian, who remained unidentified at the time of this report, was shot at the roadblock before the soldiers closed the area.

They added that Palestinian Red Crescent Society medics (PRCS) rushed to the roadblock, but the soldiers refused to allow them to reach the wounded young man.

The soldiers then detained the wounded young man and took him to an unknown destination after closing the entire area.

The Israeli army claims a soldier “neutralized and arrested” the Palestinian when he reportedly approached the roadblock “while carrying a knife before the soldiers fired in the air before shooting him.”
