Dozens of Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation after Israeli soldiers attacked them when they rushed to their olive orchards to extinguish fire caused by illegal Israeli colonizers who invaded their lands in Surif town, northwest of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Hazem Ghneimat, the Mayor of Surif, said the colonizers from Beit Ayin illegal colony, built on stolen lands in the al-Jab’a and Beit Ummar nearby towns, burnt at least thirty olive trees and seven evergreens owned by Palestinians from Ghneimat and Abu Fara families, in the Khallet Ghneimat area.

He added that the Palestinians rushed to their lands to extinguish the fire before Israeli soldiers attacked them with gas bombs, causing dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In related news, many colonizers invaded Palestinian orchards in Kafr ed-Deek town, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit, and cut at least sixty olive trees owned by Hasan al-Mashni.
