Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli occupation authorities arrested 464 Palestinians last month, including 70 minors and 18 women, and 3873 Palestinians since the start of this year, Palestinian prisoners’ advocacy groups said on Thursday.
In their joint-monthly report, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and ex-Detainee affairs, the Palestinian Prisoner Society, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that 159 of those arrested in June and 1896 since the start of 2022 were from the eastern part of occupied Jerusalem, and 15 arrested in June and 64 since the start of this year were from the Gaza Strip.
The groups also said that Israeli occupation issued 153 administrative detention orders against Palestinians in June, including 58 new orders and 95 renewal orders, and 862 orders since the start of this year, including 398 new orders.
The groups said a total of 4650 Palestinian detainees are currently held in Israeli occupation prisons, including 30 women, 180 minors, and about 650 held in administrative detention without a charge or trial.
Hundreds of ill Palestinian detainees are still held in Israeli prisons, 23 of them are suffering from various levels of cancer, added the groups.
