On Friday, Israeli soldiers injured dozens of Palestinians, including seventeen who were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, during the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
Dozens of residents held the weekly procession and marched from the town’s center while chanting for liberation and calling for ending the illegal Israeli occupation and its colonialist activities.
The Palestinians also marked the twelfth year since the nonviolent processions started, and raised Palestinian flags before the soldiers assaulted them near the town’s closed main road.
The soldiers fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the protesters, wounding seventeen and causing dozens to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The Palestinians have been holding weekly processions in Kufur Qaddoum for the last eighteen years, demanding the army to reopen the village’s main road the soldiers blockaded to allow easy access to the illegal colonizers driving to and from Kedumim illegal colony built on stolen Palestinian lands.
