Media sources said the navy ships fired many live rounds and gas bombs at the Palestinian fishing boats near the shore of the Sudaniyya Sea and Beit Lahia in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

They said the attacks did not lead to casualties but forced the Palestinians to leave without being able to fish to provide for their families.

The attacks are part of constant Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermenfarmersshepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.

Kufur Qaddoum Protest Attacked by Israeli Forces; 4 Wounded

Israeli troops attacked the weekly non-violent protest in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, in the central West Bank, wounding four young Palestinians with rubber-coated steel bullets.

Dozens more suffered from the effects of tear gas inhalation, when Israeli forces charged the peaceful protest and began attacking the demonstrators with tear gas, rubber-coated steel bullets, concussion grenades, and other less-lethal munitions.

The protesters were gathered, as they do every week, to call attention to the Israeli annexation of village land in contravention of international law. The protesters challenged the Israeli takeover of land that is owned by local Palestinian families.

This week, the protesters numbered in the hundreds.

The media spokesman in the Qalqilia region, Murad Shteiwi, said that when the Israeli army invaded the village, confrontations broke out between local youth and the invading Israeli soldiers. The soldiers fired a heavy barrage of metal bullets and tear gas canisters, causing 4 injuries and dozens of cases of tear gas inhalation, all of whom were treated in the field.

Shteiwi pointed out that a group of Israeli paramilitary settlers accompanied the invading soldiers, and while the soldiers were attacking the protesters, the settlers went around town removing Palestinian flags raised by activists on a mountain overlooking the illegal Israeli settlement of Qadumim.

The soldiers then provided cover for the paramilitary settlers to escape the town and the wrath of the villagers.

Shteiwi explained that today’s march was launched with the participation of hundreds of townspeople. The protesters challenged the planned Israeli provocation, in which Israeli paramilitary settlers plan to march with Israeli flags to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam.

Updated: Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Child near Bethlehem

Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian child on Friday while invading the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.

The child, Zaid Mohammad Ghneim, 15 years old, was shot by Israeli forces with three bullets in his chest and back and was taken to Al-Yamamah Hospital, south of Bethlehem, where he died of his wounds.

Local sources said that when the Israeli troops invaded the “Umm Rokba” area in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, they were met by local youth who began throwing stones at the soldiers to try to get them to leave their village.

Israeli troops responded with lethal force, shooting live ammunition at the children and teens, killing one, and wounding several others.

The killing of the 15-year-old child comes in the midst of an escalation of violence by Israeli forces, who have been invading Palestinian areas on a daily basis and firing live ammunition at unarmed Palestinians during their invasions.

Zaid was a ninth-grade student at Saeed Al-Aas Boys School in Bethlehem. He was the second student from that school to have been killed by Israeli forces in the past two months.

His father said that he was sitting with his son just hours before he was killed by the soldiers and added that Zaid was heading to his grandfather’s home when the soldiers shot him.

The Palestinian Minister of Education, Prof. Marwan Awartani condemned the killing of the student and called on human rights and international institutions defending children to put an end to these continuing Israeli crimes against students and education staff.

This killing of Zaid comes just two weeks after the brutal assassination of renowned Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli forces in Jenin. Abu Akleh was killed execution-style by Israeli soldiers while standing with other journalists next to a wall, far from any clashes.

Seven Palestinian civilians, three of whom were children, were killed by Israeli forces during the month of May. Twenty-two Palestinian civilians were killed in the month of April, and over a thousand were wounded, as Israeli forces targeted Palestinian Muslims celebrating the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. During the holy month of fasting and praying, Israeli forces repeatedly invaded the mosque area and assaulted worshipers.
