On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly processions in Beita and Beit Dajan in the northern West Bank governorate of Nablus, shooting one Palestinian with a rubber-coated steel bullet and causing dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors Israel’s illegal colonialist activities in the northern West Bank, said hundreds of Palestinians marched towards Sbeih Mountain in Beita town, south of Nablus while chanting against the escalating Israeli violations and colonialist activities.
He added that the soldiers fired many gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets at the Palestinians, shooting a young man in the arm and causing at least fifteen Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.
The medics provided the needed treatment to the wounded Palestinians and moved the young man to a hospital in Nablus.
In Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its medics provided treatment to thirty-six Palestinians, mainly because of teargas inhalation.
The Mountain, owned by the Palestinians, has significant strategic importance, especially since if the colonizers occupy it, the colony will lead to the annexation of 20 Dunams of Palestinian lands and would also lead to the isolation of a large area of Palestinian lands.
