Israeli forces chase, attack Palestinian workers near Hebron

Hebron (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces on Sunday assaulted and chased dozens of Palestinian workers heading to workplaces, on Dhahiriya crossing, south-west Hebron.

Local sources said Israeli forces chased dozens of Palestinian workers on the Dhahiriya crossing.

The forces also fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters at the workers.

As a result, one of the workers sustained burns and others suffocated from the tear gas inhalation.

The workers were heading to their workplaces in 1948 Israeli-occupied Palestine.

Due to the lack of job opportunities in the West Bank, some Palestinians head to look for employment in Israeli-occupied Palestine.

However, entrance into the Israeli-occupied Palestine requires West Bank’s Palestinians to apply for entry permits.

The entry permits are virtually impossible to obtain.

So, the workers regularly attempt to cross the apartheid Wall or such crossings, that lead to their work, without a permit.

Since 2002, ‘Israel’ has been constructing a wall that stretches for more than 700 kilometres.

This wall is known as separation wall or apartheid wall. It annexes Palestinian lands inside the occupied West Bank.
