Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces arrested 16 Palestinians from several parts of the occupied territories, including two Gazans, today and last night.
On Sunday evening, Israeli soldiers arrested two Gazans in the vicinity of the northern Gaza Strip borders.
Local sources also said the forces raided several areas across the West Bank and searched Palestinians houses.
The forces turned the houses upside-down before arresting 14 Palestinians.
In Ramallah, the Israeli forces arrested 7 Palestinians.
Among the seven are four students in Birzeit University as the forces arrested them after raiding their dormitory in Birzeit town.
In al-Bireh town, the Israeli forces arrested three others.
Moreover, soldiers stationed at Atara checkpoint, north of Ramallah, arrested another Palestinian, identified as a resident of Abu Shukheidem village.
Northwest of Jericho, Israeli military vehicles also stormed Aqabat Jaber refugee camp and arrested three others.
South of Jenin, the soldiers forcibly entered a house in Qabatiya town and arrested a resident.
In Faqqu’a village, the forces arrested two others during a raid at their house.
North of Bethlehem, the soldiers raided Azza and Aida refugee camps and arrested two Palestinians.
West of Hebron, the soldiers arrested a resident in the Beit Awwa town.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians.
According to Palestinian prisoner advocacy groups, there are now 4500 Palestinians held in Israeli occupation prisons.
In January, ‘Israel’ arrested 504 Palestinians while it arrested 448 Palestinians in February.
In 2020, ‘Israel’ arrested 4,634 Palestinians, among them 543 children and 128 women.
‘Israel’ arrested over 8000 Palestinians, including 1300 minors and 184 women, in 2021.
