Israeli Soldiers Abduct Nine Palestinians In West Bank

Israeli soldiers abducted, earlier Sunday, at least nine Palestinians during violent invasions and searches of homes across the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem. The soldiers also injured several Palestinians near Hebron.

In Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, the army abducted two former political prisoners, Sofian Jamjoum and Ja’far Qawasmi, after the soldiers stormed their homes and violently searched them.

The soldiers also invaded Halhoul town north of Hebron, searched homes, and abducted Ali Mohammad Ali al-Hajj.

In related news, the soldiers caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation during protests that took place after the soldiers closed the main gate of the al-‘Arroub refugee camp and invaded an adjacent neighborhood north of Hebron.

Several army jeeps also invaded ‘Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, searched homes before abducting Issa Mohammad Zreina, 17, and Mohammad Ja’ara.

In addition, the soldiers abducted Mazen Ahmad Obeyyat and Omar Mousa Alauddin, both from Bethlehem, while crossing the Shavei Shomron military roadblock northwest of Nablus, in northern West Bank.

It is worth mentioning that the soldiers invaded the at-Tour town in occupied Jerusalem and searched several homes.

In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers killed one Palestinian, Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

After killing the young man, dozens of Israeli soldiers, police, and intelligence officers invaded his home and ransacked the property before abducting his mother, and his brother Mohammad, in addition to summoning the father for interrogation.

Updated: Israeli Soldiers Kill A Palestinian In Jerusalem

Update: The slain Palestinian has been officially identified as Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, from the at-Tour town, in occupied Jerusalem.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers, police, and intelligence officers invaded his home and ransacked the property before abducting his mother, and his brother Mohammad, in addition to summoning the father for interrogation.

Karim is also a former political prisoner, abducted when he was a teenager and was imprisoned for 18 months.

After killing the young man, the soldiers isolated the entire area and prevented the Palestinians from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque and many parts of the Old City.

On Sunday at dawn, Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man near Bab Hutta gate, north of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the occupied capital Jerusalem, in the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers shot the young man and left him bleeding without first aid until he succumbed to his wounds.

They added that the soldiers fired a barrage of live fire at the young men, and left him bleeding, before closing the entire area, including all gates leading to Al-Aqsa.
Israeli daily Haaretz claimed the Palestinian stabbed and moderately injured two officers before being shot dead.

Haaretz quoted the Israeli police claiming that the Palestinian approached the officers at 4:30 at dawn, before pulling a knife and stabbing one of them, before the officers shot him.

However, it did not explain how the second officer was injured, but only said: “two officers were injured moderately during the attack.”

Dozens of soldiers and police officers were also sent to the area, and initiated extensive searches in the street and alleys, especially around Al-Aqsa.

Sunday morning, Israeli soldiers fired several shells into Palestinian agricultural lands near Khan Younis, while navy ships attacked fishing boats near Rafah, in the southern parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Media sources said Israeli tanks stationed across the perimeter fence fired several shells into Palestinian lands east of the Al-Qarara town, near Khan Younis.

They added that the attack caused property damage but did not lead to casualties; however, it forced the Palestinian farmers to leave their lands, fearing additional Israeli violations.

In related news, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats near the shore of Rafah, forcing them to leave without being able to fish to provide for their families.

On Saturday night, Israeli soldiers fired many rounds of live ammunition into Palestinian agricultural lands in the central and southern parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

On Saturday evening, Israeli navy ships fired many live rounds at Palestinian fishing boats in the northern and southern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.

The attacks are part of frequent Israeli violations against the Palestinians, especially the fishermenfarmersshepherds, and workers in the besieged and impoverished Gaza Strip, and resulted in dozens of casualties, including fatalities, in addition to severe property damage and the confiscation of many boats after abducting the fishermen.

In March of last year, 2021, the Palestinian Interior Ministry in Gaza said Israeli mines were responsible for an explosion that led to the death of three fishermen.

Army Closes Main Road With Concrete Blocks In Northern West Bank

On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers closed the main road between two Palestinian towns in the northern West Bank with concrete blocks.

Media sources said the soldiers closed the main road between Burqa and Silat ath-Thaher towns (the Jenin-Nablus Road) and forced the Palestinians to leave the area.

They added that the closed road is near the evacuated Homesh colony, and the soldiers closed it to allow groups of illegal Israeli colonizers to march in the area.

It is worth mentioning that the colonizers constantly invade the area and prevent the Palestinians from entering it as part of the constant attempts to rebuild their illegal colony, which Israel evacuated in 2005.

In related news, the soldiers invaded Abu Dis University, southeast of the occupied capital, Jerusalem, in the West Bank, leading to protests before the army fired gas bombs and concussion grenades.

Israeli Colonizers Cut And Uproot 300 Trees In Hebron

On Saturday evening, illegal Israeli colonizers cut and uprooted more than three hundred Palestinian-owned olive and almond trees in Yatta town, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. Soldiers abduct one Palestinian and confiscated cars.

Rateb Jabour, the coordinator of the Popular and National Committees Against the Annexation Wall and Colonies in southern Hebron, said the colonizers came from the Ma’on illegal colony, built on stolen Palestinian lands.

Jabour added that the colonizers uprooted more than three hundred Palestinian-owned almond and olive trees in the al-Adra area east of Yatta.

The colonizers also brought their sheep to graze in five Dunams of Palestinian agricultural lands owned by the Shawahin family.

Israeli soldiers were in the area and abducted a Palestinian, Mousa Hasan Shawahin, 40, in addition to confiscating Palestinian cars instead of removing the colonizers.

Soldiers Abduct Two Palestinians In Jerusalem

On Saturday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted two young Palestinian men in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers invaded the Bab al-Magharba area in the town before stopping and interrogating many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

They added that the soldiers abducted two young men, Yousef Salah and Ali al-Abbasi, before moving them to an interrogation facility in the city.

In related news, the soldiers detained lieutenant Azzam Jabara, the head of the Palestinian Police in Jerusalem suburbs, and his aide while heading to Salfit in the central West Bank.

The soldiers detained the two Palestinians near the illegal Ariel colony and interrogated them for several hours.

Updated: Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians In Hebron, Colonizer Fires At Children

On Sunday afternoon, Israeli soldiers injured several Palestinians in the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Update: The soldiers shot a young man, 19, with a live round in the leg and attacked dozens of students at Palestinian Technical Institute – Kadoorie, near Road#60.

They also caused many to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation, in addition to lacerations and bruises and chased many Palestinians.

The students were marching in condemnation of the Israeli escalation, ongoing illegal occupation, and the killing of Ammar Abu Afifa, 21, a student of Kadoorie, who Israeli soldiers shot near Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, on March 1st, 2022.

The soldiers frequently install roadblocks at the college entrance, or near it, before stopping, searching, and harassing the students, and in many cases, assault them in addition to firing at them.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers closed the main gate of the refugee camp, preventing the Palestinians from entering or leaving it, and invaded the neighborhood close to Road #60, leading to protests.

They added that the soldiers fired many rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at the Palestinians, causing several residents to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In related news, fanatic far-right Member of Knesset, Itamar Bin-Gvir, invaded the area along with several colonizers and threatened to kill Palestinian children after he alleged that they hurled stones at his car.

One of the colonizers, only known as Ofar, attacked Palestinian shops near the bypass road and tried to force them to close by, threatening to shoot the Palestinians. At the same time, Israeli soldiers only observed the violation without intervening.

A similar attack targeted the farmers and their lands east of the al-Fakhari town, east of Khan Younis, causing damage and anxiety attacks among the Palestinians, especially the children.

The soldiers also fired many flares along the perimeter fence, east of Khan Younis.

In the central Gaza Strip, the soldiers fired many live rounds into Palestinian farmlands east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp.
