Dozens of Jewish Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Days of Palestine – Jerusalem – Dozens of Jewish settlers escorted by Israeli police forces stormed Wednesday Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Department of Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem said that dozens of settlers and students of biblical institutes stormed Al-Aqsa, from the side of the Mughrabi Gate, in groups, and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, under the protection of the occupation police, which tightened its military measures in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa and the Old City.

The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Israeli police close al-Maghariba Gate, which is used by Jews to enter the Mosque, at 10:30 am after the settlers complete their morning tours at the holy site. Later in the afternoon, the same gate is reopened for evening tours by settlers.

During the presence of settlers inside the Mosque compound, entry restrictions are imposed on Muslim worshipers at the entrances leading to the Mosque and their IDs could be seized until they leave the holy place.

Israeli Occupation Forces Nab 16 Palestinians While Razing Bedouin Village

Days of Palestine – Negev – Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Tuesday 16 civilians, including a minor, from the village of Al-Atrash in the Negev desert, including three women, local sources said.

They stated that the Israeli police stormed the village and fired rubber-coated metal bullets and sound bombs while carrying out a campaign of arrests in an attempt to deter the Arab residents from confronting the bulldozers that were razing their lands in preparation for its seizure.

A protest tent was demolished, while residents were stopped from accessing their land.

Bedouin in the Negev must abide by the same laws as Jewish Israeli citizens. They pay taxes but do not enjoy the same rights and services as Jews in Israel and the state has repeatedly refused to connect the towns to the national grid, water supplies, and other vital amenities.

Israeli Forces Kidnap Palestinian Teacher from Jerusalem

Days of Palestine – Jerusalem – The Israeli occupation forces arrested on Wednesday a Palestinian teacher from the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem.

Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested the teacher in the Qutna Martyrs’ Secondary School, Iyad Elias Rabie, who is an ex-prisoner after they raided and searched his house.

The protracted Israeli occupation and the continuing conflict have severely compromised access to education in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The right to education is continuously undermined by the numerous education-related Israeli crimes, such as attacks or threats of attacks on schools, lost school time due to delays at checkpoints, military presence at school entrances closed military areas in addition to the use of live ammunition and tear gas in and around schools, school search, confiscation of education items, detention of students and school staff, settler-related violence, or school demolitions and stop-work orders.

As a result, students’ well-being, performance, and completion rates are severely affected by the situation, which has negative implications for their future prospects.
