Israeli settlers vandalize Palestinian tombstones in Nablus

Days of Palestine – Nablus – Even the Palestinian dead bodies are under the Israeli settlers’ attacks in the occupied West Bank, as settlers who attacked the Nablus governorate on Thursday night destroyed tombstones in the village of “Burqa” near an illegal settlement outpost.

Ghassan Daghlas, who is monitoring settlers’ activities in the north of the West Bank, said in a press statement that the settlers destroyed a number of tombstones in one of the village’s cemeteries on lands near the evacuated outpost of Homesh.

Settler violence is increasing, in particular, in the governorates of Nablus in the north and Hebron in the south.

Earlier in the night, dozens of Israeli settlers attacked, under cover of darkness, the homes of Palestinian civilians in Burqa.

Mosques appealed to Palestinian citizens to repel the settlers’ aggression and to defend their homes and properties. Local sources said that dozens of settlers infiltrated from Homesh and attacked houses with stones, breaking windows and causing severe damage to them.
