Israeli forces arrest five young men and suppress solidarity march in Sheikh Jarrah

Days of Palestine – Jerusalem – The Israeli occupation forces yesterday, Friday, suppressed the weekly solidarity march in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem and arrested 3 foreign activists.

The Israeli occupation soldiers fired stun grenades at the march participants, beating them, and arrested three foreign activists, including a woman.

The soldiers also assaulted the residents of the neighborhood and Salem’s family, who are threatened with displacement from the neighborhood, and prevented them from staying on their land, while the occupation police officer threatened the solidarity that if they did not leave the land, they would evict Salem’s family from their home as well.

The occupation police vehicles were stationed in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood before the call to prayer this afternoon; In anticipation of performing prayers in the neighborhood, as happened last Friday.

This evening, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two young Jerusalemites after brutally assaulting them on Al-Wad Street in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
