Israeli forces raid Burqa village, attack Palestinian residents

Nablus (QNN)- Dozens of Palestinian residents suffocated from inhalation of tear gas canisters fired towards them by Israeli occupation forces after raiding the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, on Thursday night.

Local sources said Israeli forces last night raided the village of Burqa and searched several Palestinian houses before attacking the village’s residents by firing rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters and sound bombs directly and intensively, resulting in the suffocation of dozens from inhalation of tear gas canisters.

Residents of the village and nearby villages were also seen headed to the Burqa village to confront the occupation forces and protect the village.

Shortly before, over 127 Palestinians also got injured by the Israeli forces while protecting hundreds of extremist settlers who attempted to raid and attack the village of Burqa, as buses fully loaded with hundreds of extremist Israeli settlers were seen at Road 60, adjacent to the Burqa village, and they blocked access of Palestinian vehicles.

Thousands of Israeli settlers had been protesting there, calling on the occupation government to let them return to the nearby pre-2005 Israeli settlement of Homesh.

The settlers also attacked several Palestinian vehicles and at least three Palestinian-owned houses and a car wash, on the outskirts of Burqa village.
