Hundreds of settlers storm the towns of Silat al-Dhahr and Burqa, north of Nablus

Thursday, hundreds of settlers stormed the towns of Silat Al-Dhahr and Burqa, north of Nablus, after they gathered at the site of the evacuated “Homish” settlement. Local sources reported that large groups of settlers set out in front of the “Shave Shomron” settlement, which is built on Palestinian lands northwest of Nablus.

The sources pointed out that the occupation forces closed the three roads linking the village of Burqa and the road connecting the cities of Jenin and Nablus with earth mounds. The occupation forces tightened their military measures and declared the road between the towns of Silat al-Dhahr and Deir Sharaf a closed military zone, under the pretext of securing a march for settlers. Clashes erupted between young men and the occupation forces at the entrance to the village of Burqa, and settlers attacked a house and a car washroom at the entrance to the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus.

In the same context, groups of settlers attacked houses on the outskirts of Silat Al Dhaher town, south of Jenin, with stones. Several calls were issued to counter the settlers’ attacks and the occupation forces while calling on the residents of the neighboring towns to stand together in the face of the raging settlement attack in the area.
