Israeli occupation forces open fire at Gaza farmers near the separation fence

Israeli occupation forces stationed on the southern border with the Gaza Strip today opened fire at Palestinian farmers working in their lands near the seperation fence, forcing them to leave the area, reported local sources.

The soldiers at the watchtowers overlooking the seperation fence area east of Khan Yunis fired several rounds at the farmers, who fled the area to avoid being shot.

Israel does not allow Palestinians to reach their lands along the seperation fence with the occupied lands and often infiltrate the borders to either destroy the land and level it or to build dirt mounds causing serious damage to fertile agricultural land in the area that goes more than 300 meters deep into the Gaza Strip.
