Hamas calls for solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and to break siege of Gaza

Days of Palestine – Gaza – Hamas Movement called for solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, including children, women, and the sick, and all prisoners against whom the occupation practices crimes against humanity, through solitary confinement, beatings, bans from visits, and other violations and crimes.

In a press statement on Monday, on the occasion of the Human Solidarity Day declared by the United Nations General Assembly, Hamas stressed the importance of human solidarity with all the peoples of the world, who are subjected to occupation, injustice, aggression, and all forms of racial discrimination, particularly the Palestinian people, who are subjected to the longest and most dangerous continuous occupation in the world.

The movement called for strengthening solidarity with the Palestinian people and ending their ongoing tragedy due to occupation, aggression, criminality, siege, and racial discrimination that they are subjected to by the Israeli occupation.

Hamas also demanded to work to criminalize the actions of the leaders of the occupation, who commit daily heinous crimes against the land and the Palestinian people, and to bring them to trial as war criminals.

It called for an end to the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, which has been going on for more than 15 years, and the need to end it immediately, and to expedite the reconstruction of what was destroyed by the occupation during its recent aggression last May.

Meanwhile, Hamas stressed the need to strengthen the necessary solidarity and support for Palestinian refugees at home and the diaspora, who live in difficult humanitarian conditions, as a result of the practices of the occupation and the spread of the Corona pandemic, and to work to provide them with a free and dignified life.
