Israeli occupation forces arrest number of Palestinians from West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces at dawn Sunday kidnaped several Palestinian citizens, during a campaign in Silat al-Harithiya village, northwest of Jenin.

Local sources said that occupation forces raided the house of Ahmed Jaradat and kidnaped his sons Omar and Ghaith.

The sources added that an Israeli officer told the mother of the detainees that its son Ghaith was the killer of the Jewish settler near the evacuated site of Homesh settlement in Nablus, but she replied and said she would be proud of her sons if they were the shooters.

The occupation forces also kidnaped Sheikh Mohamed Jaradat, a prominent Islamic Jihad official in Jenin. He is an ex-detainee who spent over 15 years in Israeli jails.

Another ex-detainee identified as Ibrahim Jaradat was taken prisoner during the same campaign in the village.

The occupation forces ransacked several homes and places in the village and claimed they found and confiscated weapons during raids on homes. They also seized a car allegedly used in the recent shooting operation.

A citizen called Abdul-Rahman Yaqoub from Jenin refugee camp was also kidnaped by the IOF during an ambush near Silat ad-Dhahr town, southwest of Jenin province.

In an announcement, the Israeli occupation army claimed its forces, in cooperation with the Shin Bet, arrested the Palestinians who carried out the recent shooting attack in Nablus that led to the death of a settler and wounded two others.
