Israeli Army To Demolish A Home Near Bethlehem

Israeli soldiers invaded, Sunday, Nahhalin town, west of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, and handed a Palestinian a demolition order targeting his home.

Hani Fannoun, the deputy-mayor of Nahhalin, said several army jeeps invaded the town before the soldiers handed Atef Jamil al-Nees an order for the demolition of his home.

He added that the home, about eighty square/meters, was recently built, and the Palestinian is conducting the final preparations before moving in with his family.

The Palestinian was informed that he needs to demolish his home within 96 hours, or else the army would demolish it using its equipment, impose high fines and fees in addition billing him for the demolition costs.

The army claims the home was built without a permit from the so-called “Civil Administration Office”, the administrative branch of Israel’s illegal occupation of the West Bank, although the local town council licensed it.

It is worth mentioning that the army has recently escalated its invasions and violations against the Palestinians in the town, including the demolition of several buildings, in addition to many existing demolition orders targeting several homes and structures.
