Israeli forces launch campaign of arrests in Hebron

Days of Palestine – Hebron – The Israeli occupation forces continued their campaign of arrests in the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, in the south of the occupied West Bank.

The arrest campaign began about two weeks ago, and the number of detainees so far has reached 15 citizens, most of whom are ex-prisoners.

Participating in this campaign is the undercover unit, which kidnapped the ex-prisoner Fadi Ghunaimat in a commercial vehicle to distribute food supplies, a few hours after storming his house and arresting his brother.

Al-Yamam unit specialized in assassinations and liquidating resistance activists, had previously arrested the ex-prisoner Bassam Ghunaimat and his wife, who were released hours later.

These raids and arrests included raiding homes, vandalizing their contents, destroying furniture, and intimidating their residents.

It is noteworthy that the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron Governorate, has been subjected to campaigns of prosecution, arrests, and summons for its residents due to their political activities.
