Days of Palestine – Ramallah – The European Union today, Friday, expressed its deep concern about the critical health condition of the two prisoners on hunger strike in the occupation prisons, Kayed Fasfous and Miqdad Al-Qawasma.
The union said in a statement: “They are concerned about the critical health condition of the Palestinian detainees, Kayed Fasfous and Miqdad Al-Qawasma, who have been on a hunger strike for more than 100 days, and they are among other detainees on hunger strike to protest their administrative detention, as some of them were transferred to the hospital.”
The union called on the Israeli occupation authorities to respect international law and to stop the excessive use of administrative detention without bringing actual charges.
The union also called on the Israeli occupation authorities to “avoid loss of life,” adding that “all detainees have the right to be informed of the charges against them and to be subject to a fair trial.”
