Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Since the early morning hours of Tuesday, 151 extremist Israeli settlers have broken into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem under the occupation forces protection.
The settlers entered through the Damascus Gate- which Palestinians call Bab al-Amoud Gate- and they were provoking the Palestinian worshipers by performing Talmudic prayers loudly in the courtyards the mosque.
The Israeli forces, however, brutally assaulted several Palestinian youths in the courtyards of the mosque, preventing them from praying and forcing them to leave the mosque.
Six Israeli soldiers were also seen gathering around a Palestinian youth and violently beat him for refusing to be kicked out of the mosque.
Earlier today, the Israeli police also prevented a bus of worshipers, coming from Umm Al Fahm in the 1948-occupied territories, from visiting Al Aqsa mosque claiming that they will cause “incitement and unrest”.
Israeli occupation authorities allow settler incursions to the mosque since 2003 under the forces protection, despite repeated objections and warnings by the Palestinian religious authorities as the visits provoke worshippers of the mosque.
Israeli forces always facilitate and protect the settlers breaking into the holy site while preventing Palestinian worshipers from entering it, assaulting and detaining them.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam which located in occupied Jerusalem.
