Renewed Israeli Airstrikes launched against the Besieged Gaza Strip

Israeli fighter jets, on Sunday at midnight, fired several missiles at sites in the besieged Gaza Strip, Quds News Network reports.

It stated that the renewed airstrikes are the fifth incident where Israel breached the May 21, 2021 Egypt brokered ceasefire between the occupation state and the various resistance factions in the Gaza Strip.

It added that Israeli warplanes struck agricultural land and two other sites in Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Another site was also struck in the north-west area of the tiny coastal enclave.

No injuries were reported.

In related news, a faction of the Palestinian resistance, on Sunday night, shot an Israeli drone (quadcopter) out of the sky as it flew over the southern Gaza Strip, QNN reported.

The resistance managed to shoot down the occupation drone and seize it when it fell to the ground in Khuza’a in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

The Gaza Strip is home to more than two million Palestinians, living under a brutal Israeli blockade, since 2007, which has caused an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.

Between May 10 and May 21, the occupation state unleashed a vicious attack, with a heavy barrage of missiles and artillery shells at the Gaza Strip, killing 230 Palestinians and injuring 1383.

#SaveIsraa: Palestinian re-launch social media campaign calling to free Israa from Israeli Jails

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Palestinians have re-launched a social media campaign calling to release Palestinian prisoner Israa Jaabis from Israeli jails as she requires urgent medical care.

Israa Jaabis, who on July 22 became 37 years old, was arrested in October 2015 by Israeli occupation authorities, who accused her falsely of attempting to detonate a bomb in order to harm Israeli forces in front of al-Zayyim checkpoint in Jerusalem.

However, Jaabis and her family have said that she was in the process of moving house to retain her Jerusalem residency when a faulty cylinder of cooking gas burst into flames 500 metres from the checkpoint.

Jaabis, who has a 14-year-old son, was severely injured in the blaze, with 65 percent of her body burned, including major wounds on her face and hands.

After she was arrested, she was taken to Hadassah Medical Centre where eight of her fingers were amputated.

In 2017, she was sentenced to 11 years in prison by the central court in Jerusalem on charges of attempted murder.

She cannot lift her hands up all the way because her underarm skin is stuck together.

Her right ear is almost nonexistent and in a constant state of inflammation.

And her nose has a gaping hole on one side; she breathes mostly through her mouth.

She also suffers from nervous breakdowns, shock, and severe psychological crises.

Before the accident, Jaabis was working at a nursing home, volunteering her time at charities and schools, and dressing up as a clown to entertain the children at a hospital in the occupied Jerusalem.

Jaabis needs at least eight surgeries, including a skin graft around her right eye and facial reconstruction.

Israeli occupation provides her with an ointment for burns, which she uses up within three days, and painkillers.

The social media hashtags #SaveIsraa aims to raise awareness and pressure the Israeli authorities to release her to get the required medical treatment.

‘Israel’ reduces Gaza fishing zone from 12 to 6 miles

Gaza Strip (QNN)- Israeli occupation government has reduced the Gaza fishing zone on Sunday from 12 to six nautical miles from Gaza’s shore, suffocating approximately 3,000 fishermen, of whom only 800 work on some 700 boats.

The Israeli occupation government has reduced the Gaza fishing zone to 6 miles, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said in a statement.

There are nearly 70,000 Palestinians make a living directly or indirectly from fishing in Gaza

The decision was taken due to incendiary balloons being launched from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli-occupied Palestine, as COGAT claimed.

The incendiary balloons were launched, however, in response against Israel’s ongoing crimes and attacks against Palestinians and its siege of the Gaza strip.

‘Israel’ continues imposing tight restrictions against Gazans, including the full closure of the crossings, preventing the export and import of goods from/to Gaza, and preventing Qatari and other funds from being transferred to Gaza.

Such imposed restrictions have severely undermined Gaza’s economy and the basic rights of its residents, especially after Israel’s 11-day aggression on the strip last May, which killed more than 250 Palestinians, including 67 children and 41 women and injured 1,910 others.

Also, more than 90,000 Palestinians were displaced from their homes, and much of Gaza’s infrastructure and many residential buildings were completely destroyed or levelled.

Israel’ has maintained a blockade on the Gaza Strip since 2007.

143 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Dozens Israeli settlers broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Jerusalem earlier today.

Under the occupation forces protection, over 143 Israeli settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning break-in session.

The settlers have been entering through the Al-Mughrabi Gate till now, and they are provoking the Palestinian worshipers in the mosque courtyards by performing Talmudic prayers.

Israeli occupation authorities allow settler incursions to the mosque since 2003 under the forces protection, despite repeated objections and warnings by the Palestinian religious authorities as the visits provoke worshippers of the mosque.

Israeli forces always attack and assault Palestinian worhipers at the courtyards of the Mosque with sound grenades, rubber bullets and pepper gas.

The forces also station at the gates of the mosque and detain dozens of Palestinian young men and boys, after assaulting them.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam which located in occupied Jerusalem.

Facebook suspends Arabic-language page of QNN

Facebook has temporarily suspended the Arabic-language page of Quds News Network (QNN) in a bid to suppress pro-Palestine content.

QNN announced earlier today it will publish on an alternative page as Facebook temporarily suspended the Arabic-language main page of the network, which has 7 million followers.

The Network pointed out that pro-Palestine networks are no strangers to such restrictions on social media as the latter have been deleting and deactivating the accounts of Palestinians and pro-Palestinians.

QNN said that fighting the pro-Palestine content on social media will not deter the news outlets or Palestinians from documenting and covering what the Israeli occupation commits in Palestine to the whole world.

The Network stressed that it will continue covering and documenting the Palestinian cause and will strongly stand against Israel’s ongoing stifling of the Palestinian narrative.

QNN also stressed it will maintain objectivity, accuracy, consistency and complete partiality to the Palestinian cause.

Sada Social Center, a Palestinian digital rights organisation specializes in protecting Palestinian narratives on social media platforms and monitoring violations, documented more than 178 violations against Palestinian content during June 2021 only.

Twitter topped the list with 93 violations, followed by Facebook with 74 violations, Instagram with 9 violations, TikTok with one violation and one violation on YouTube.

Iyad Alrefaie, Sada Social cofounder, told QNN that fighting the pro-Palestine content on social media by the platform’s administrations has become very common lately, adding that pro-palestine content is not safe in any of these platforms, especially Facebook, which is the most used among Palestinians.

Alrefaie stated that suppressing and fighting the pro-Palestine content has been in coordination with the Israeli occupation government and security agencies, on the pretext of preventing Palestinian “incitement and hate speech” on its platform, stifling the Palestinian voices while giving the Israeli narrative the complete freedom.

Alrefaie said the continuous suppressing and fighting of the Palestinian narrarive may result in a complete non-existence of the narrarive while promoting the Israeli narrative.

Alrefaie told QNN that some Palestinian actors have exploited properties of the platforms for political aims simultaneous with efforts to fight the Israeli occupation efforts to suppress and stifle the Palestinian content, adding that such step would weaken the situation, as Palestinians, in front of the administrations of these platforms.

Alrefaie stressed on the necessity to fight the restrictions and all attempts that aim to suppress the Palestinian narrative to make “our voice heard at the global level and expose the occupation crimes.”

Recently, Facebook has also blocked and removed the page of Shehab News Agency, one of the leading Palestinian news agencies, for the fifth time.
