Gazapost – Israeli occupation troops took the homes of 84 Palestinians in Ramallah Governorate and a structure housing an eight-person family in the northern Jordan Valley this week according to UN humanitarians.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs [OCHA], the Zionist military took at least 49 structures in the Ras al-Tin, Ramallah Governorate displacement on Wednesday.
The constructions, according to preliminary evaluations, comprise dwellings, animal shelters, solar power systems, water tanks, tractors with trailers, and animal fodder.
Every summer, the herding group migrates to Ras al-Tin for grazing, but they are now in danger of being forcibly removed from the land.
The occupying troops confiscated a recently erected building used by a family, including six children, who had lost their previous dwellings in another incident last week in Humsa Al-Bqaia in the northern Jordan Valley, according to OCHA’s ReliefWeb.
“The United Nations has repeatedly called on ‘Israel’ to stop demolishing and confiscating Palestinian property and to conform its actions to its obligations as an occupying authority under international humanitarian law,” according to OCHA.
“In the West Bank, the ‘Israeli’ authorities have demolished, seized, or coerced Palestinians to demolish at least 474 Palestinian-owned structures, including 150 donor-funded structures, displacing 656 people, including 359 children,” according to OCHA.
“When compared to the same period in 2020, this indicates a near 70% increase in the number of individuals displaced, with a near 75% increase in children.”
