Palestinian Children Exposed to Pesticides Sprayed by Settlers, near Bethlehem

Two Palestinian toddlers suffered from exposure to pesticides, on Friday, after Israeli settlers invaded a Palestinian-owned grape orchard, in al-Khader village, south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

Activist, Ahmad Salah, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that Israeli settlers from an illegal colony built on village lands, broke into the farm belonging to Mohammad Mahmoud Salah, and sprayed pesticides on 400 of his grapevines.

The two toddlers, identified by Quds News Network, as 2-year-old Abdussalam Salah and 3-year-old Ahmad Salah, were rushed to hospital for treatment, their conditions were unknown at the time of this report.

In related news, an infant suffered the acute toxic effects of teargas inhalation, Friday, when the army suppressed the weekly peaceful demonstration east of Qalqilia city, in the village of Kufur Qaddoum, in northern West Bank.
