Israeli soldiers placed, Sunday, sandhills on the three entrances of Deir Nitham village, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and prevented the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.

It is worth mentioning that the village has been subject to frequent Israeli military invasions, especially since Wednesday, leading to protests.

A few days ago, Israeli colonialist settlers attacked many Palestinian cars and residents near its main road, close to Halamish colony, which was installed on stolen Palestinian lands.

On Sunday evening, the soldiers abducted Mohammad Jamahna, from Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, after stopping him at the Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus.

In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted a young woman, identified as Shorouq Rassem Abul-Wahed, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, for filming them when they accompanied dozens of colonialist settlers into the courtyards of the holy site.

They also issued an order barring, Mokhtar Tamimi, one of the guards of Al-Aqsa from entering the holy compound for one week.

In related news, the soldiers abducted, overnight and on Sunday at dawn, twenty-two Palestinians from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including six who were taken prisoner after illegal colonialist settlers and soldiers invaded the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

‘Israel’ to arrest 500 Paleetinians over next 48 hours to “settle accounts”

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Beginning today and over the next 48 hours, Israel has declared its intent to arrest 500 Palestinians living in the 1948-occupied Palestinian territories to “settle accounts.”

The arrest campaign entitled “Operation Law and Order” will be implemented by Israeli occupation forces against what it identified as a “bank of targets.”.

According to a statement by Palestinian youth organizers, thousands of Israeli security forces of all units and brigades, including the notorious border patrol and the reserve brigades, are being deployed to execute this violent operation against Palestinian villages and cities.

The statement reads in part: “This is a declaration of war. The Israelis will invade more than 500 homes to kidnap our children and youth. This is not a mere ‘attempt to terrorize,’ or a ‘policy of fear-mongering,’ this is an unprecedented declaration of war on Palestinian citizens of Israel, and will be implemented under a humiliating silence. Our people must take action now to resist this war, the world has got to move now. Now before the criminals invade our neighborhoods and communities.”

Thousands of Israeli forces are now carrying out violent arrests, kicking in doors, brutalizing families and arresting palestinians.

It said that this campaign is an attempt to intimidate and discipline those who participated in the Unity Uprising for justice and liberation.

Palestinians say this is the settler colonial project’s way of attempting to crush the people’s spirit, resistance and resilience.

Dozens Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque under forces protection

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Dozens Israeli settlers broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Jerusalem today.

Under the occupation forces protection, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon break-in sessions.

121 settlers and 2 intelligence personnel break into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning break-in session and 24 during the afternoon session.

Yesterday, the occupation forces and settlers attacked the Palestinian worshipers in the courtyards of the mosque with sound grenades, rubber bullets and pepper gas and beating them.

A group of Israeli extremists had reportedly called for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, in an apparent renewed call for violence against Palestinians, following Israel’s deadly aggression on the Gaza Strip.

“On Sunday morning at 7:00, we will know if we have lost the war,” said Assaf Farid, spokesman for the Federation of Temple Organizations.

Israeli occupation authorities allow settler incursions to the mosque since 2003, despite repeated objections and warnings by the Palestinian religious authorities as the visits provoke worshippers of the mosque.

‘Israel’ issued 155 administrative detention orders in May

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israel’s military court has issued 155 administrative detention orders since the start of May, the orders came as part of a systematic arrest campaign that targeted over 2400 citizens, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Association.

According to a statement by the NGO, the Israeli arrest policy has been a main part of an escalation against native Palestinians throughout Palestine.

The statement added that the Israeli escalation is very dangerous, as it targets all Palestinians, who are active politically, scientifically, or socially.

The occupation state is holding nearly 500 Palestinians under administrative detention, of whom three are children and two are women.

Administrative detention is incarceration without trial or charge, alleging that a person plans to commit a future offense. It has no time limit, and the evidence on which it is based is not disclosed. the occupation state, according to B’Tselem, employs this measure extensively and routinely, and has used it to hold thousands of Palestinians for lengthy periods of time. While detention orders are formally reviewed, this is merely a semblance of judicial oversight, as detainees cannot reasonably mount a defense against undisclosed allegations. Nevertheless, courts uphold the vast majority of orders.

Human rights groups urge top US lawmaker to block Israel arms deal

Human rights and press freedom groups have urged US Congressman and the chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Gregory Meeks, to advance a push to block a $735m arms deal to the occupation state of ‘Israel’, after the Israeli military targeted a building housing media offices in Gaza.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced legislation to suspend the deal earlier this week.

The bill has so far acquird 14 co-sponsors. Bernie Sanders has also introduced the resolution in the Senate.

The House measure will not advance even for a debate without the approval of Meeks.

“Freedom of the press is an essential human right. The Israeli military’s bombing of international press offices actively interfered with the ability of journalists to document the situation on the ground in Gaza, including their ability to document human rights abuses and potential war crimes,” the groups said in a joint statement on Thursday.

“Especially in light of numerous reports of social media censorship targeting Palestinians, it’s crucial that reporters in Gaza are able to do their jobs safely and without military interference.”

The rights groups included Fight for the Future, Freedom of the Press Foundation, MediaJustice, MPower Change and National Lawyers Guild.

“The US government should not be selling weapons to a government that has shown repeatedly it will use them to attack media outlets and journalists,” the groups added.

“As Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep Gregory Meeks must allow a vote on the proposal to halt the arms deal. If he fails to do so, he’s actively working against freedom of the press, democracy, and human rights around the globe.”

During the 11-day of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Israel destroyed nine multi-story buildings, claiming they were being used as “military infrastructure”.

On May 15, Israeli air strikes levelled the al-Jalaa tower, an 11-storey building that housed the offices of Al Jazeera, Middle East Eye, and the Associated Press in the Gaza Strip.

The bombing of this tower drew criticism from international organisations, rights groups and several governments, including those of Israel’s allies.

On May 17, leading rights group Amnesty International condemned Israel’s continuing assault on Gaza, saying that the Israeli military has “displayed a shocking disregard for the lives of Palestinian civilians by carrying out a number of airstrikes targeting residential buildings in some cases killing entire families – including children – and causing wanton destruction to civilian property, in attacks that may amount to war crimes or crimes against humanity”.

At least 279 Palestinians were killed, including 69 children and 40 women, and 1,910 others injured in the recent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The United States provides $3.8bn in military aid to Israel annually.

Last week, reports emerged that Meeks would request a pause on the arms deal to allow for a congressional review.

But the following day he confirmed that he would not oppose the deal, saying that “Israel has every right to defend itself”.
