Israeli Colonists, Police, Injure Three Palestinians In Jerusalem

Israeli colonialist settlers and police officers attacked and injured, on Thursday at night, three Palestinians, including one who was assaulted with sharp tools, near Sheikh Jarrah Palestinian neighborhood, in the occupied Palestinian capital, Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said the colonists assaulted a young man, identified as Najm Qteina, with sharp tools in addition to punching and kicking him, while he was heading back home from his work near Sheikh Jarrah.

The man suffered various cuts and bruises and was moved to a local hospital for treatment.

The colonists also assaulted another young man, identified as Nimir Khaddour while walking in Jerusalem, causing various injuries before he was rushed to a hospital. Khaddour is from Biddu village, northeast of Jerusalem.

In addition, Israeli police officers invaded the home of Saleh Thiab in Sheikh Jarrah and assaulted him and his family.

Saleh suffered cuts and bruises and was moved to a hospital for treatment, while his families received the needed medical attention in their home.

Israeli Soldiers Kill Two Palestinians Near Jenin

Israeli soldiers killed, on Friday morning, two Palestinians, and seriously injured a third, near the Salem Israeli military roadblock, close to the northern West Bank city of Jenin; the army claimed the Palestinians fired live rounds at the soldiers and were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.

Israeli media sources said the exchange of fire took place at a bus stop near the Salem colonialist outpost, outside the Salem military base.

They added that the Palestinians allegedly used improvised Carl Gustave rifles (known as Carlo) in the attack, before they were shot and killed, and stated that the incident did not lead to injuries among the soldiers.

Following the shooting, Palestinian ambulances rushed to the scene, but the soldiers did not allow them to reach the Palestinians.

Israeli Ynet News said two of the Palestinians were instantly killed during the exchange of fire, and one was injured before he was taken to the HaEmek hospital in Afula, where his condition has been described as very serious.

It is worth mentioning that some Israeli media agencies said the three Palestinians were shot dead.

Following the fatal shooting, the soldiers closed the entire area, forced the Palestinians away, and attacked Palestinian journalists.

Israeli military analysts said the shooting could just be the start of a serious escalation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and added that the shooting seems to have been carried out by a small cell, however, could be the start for more escalation especially amidst the increasing tension in Jerusalem.

Army Abducts Young Man, Woman, In Hebron

Israeli soldiers abducted, Friday, a young man, and a young woman in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said the soldiers abducted a young woman, identified as Abeer Mohammad Rajabi, 27, near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

In addition, several army jeeps invaded the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, searched homes, and abducted a young man, identified as Habib Aziz Awlad Issa.

Furthermore, the soldiers installed roadblocks in several areas of Hebron, especially at the northern entrance of the city, in addition to the roads leading to several nearby towns.

Detained Journalist, Rimawi, Suspends Hunger Strike

The detained Palestinian journalist, Ala’ Rimawi, has suspended the hunger strike, Thursday, after reaching an agreement for his release next month.

Khaled Zababra, a lawyer representing Rimawi, said the agreement was reached after Israel agreed to end his arbitrary Administrative Detention.

He added that an Israeli court decided to reduce the Administrative Detention order against Rimawi to 45 days starting from the day he was abducted by the soldiers nearly more than weeks ago. His current Administrative Detention order ends on June 6th, 2021.

It is worth mentioning that Rimawi, a married father of five, is a former political prisoner who was frequently abducted and imprisoned by Israel, spending more than twelve years in prisons, detention centers, and interrogation facilities.

He declared a hunger strike immediately after he was abducted on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021.

Soldiers Attack Journalists, Break Camera, Near Jenin

Israeli soldiers attacked, Friday, many Palestinian journalists and broke a camera for Palestine TV, near the Salem military base, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, while reporting on the death of two young men who were killed by the army.

The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the soldiers closed the entire area and assaulted many journalists while trying to force them away.

It added that the soldiers assaulted Palestine TV cameraman Sakher Zawatia, and smashed his camera during the attack against the journalists, in addition to firing many gas bombs at them.

The Israeli army deployed dozens of additional soldiers around the military base and its surroundings, after isolating the entire area.

The attacks took place after the soldiers killed, on Friday morning, two Palestinians, and seriously injured a third, near the Salem Israeli military roadblock, after the military claimed they fired live rounds at the soldiers and were killed in the ensuing exchange of fire.

Soldiers Injure Many Palestinians In Beit Dajan

Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, many Palestinians during the weekly procession in Beit Dajan village, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Salim Abu Jaish, a member of the Land Defense Committee in Beit Dajan, said the Palestinians marched towards their lands where the illegal Israeli colonists installed an outpost on their lands.

Abu Jaish added that the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against the protesters and fired many gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.

Several Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation, before receiving treatment by field medics, while one was moved to a hospital after being shot in the leg.

Furthermore, the Israeli bombs cause fires in olive orchards and farmlands in the eastern part of the village.

The protest was attended by hundreds of Palestinians who gathered in the center of the village before marching towards their lands.

The Palestinians in Beit Dajan hold weekly nonviolent processions after illegal Israeli colonialist settlers installed an outpost on their lands in October of the year 2020.

Israeli Army Injures Several Palestinians Near Nablus

Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, several Palestinians during a nonviolent procession in Jabal Abu Sbeih in Beita village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Minwer Bani Shamsa, the secretary of the Fateh Movement in Beita, said the Palestinians came from the village, in addition to Qabalan and Yitma towns, and performed prayers on their lands in Abu Sbeih Mountain.

Bani Shamsa added that the soldiers resorted to the excessive use of force against the protesters and fired gas bombs, concussion grenades, and rubber-coated steel bullets at them, causing several injuries.

The Palestinians have been protesting ongoing attempts by the illegal colonialist settlers to install an outpost on their lands in Abu Sbeih Mountain.

In related news, the soldiers injured many Palestinians during the weekly procession in Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus.

Breaking| Two martyrs and one injury in failed resistance operation against Israeli military site

Jenin (QNN)- Two young men were martyred and a third was critically wounded today while they were carrying out a resistance operation against an Israeli military site in northern Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli media reported that three young men holding Carlo guns tried to attack Salem military site in the north of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli army radio said that the three young men opened fire at Israeli soldiers before two of them were shot dead and the third got critically wounded.

Israeli Maariv said that three young men holding Carlo guns tried to break into Salem military site in broad daylight.

The Israeli newspaper said that this event is one of its kind, as such operations usually happen only in Gaza.

The operation comes during tension in occupied Jerusalem due to the Israeli order to forcefully evict dozens of families at Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

The occupation state has also increased tension when it announced that it will ban worshipers from visiting Al Aqsa mosque on the 28th night of Ramadan to allow a mass settlers’ raid into the holy mosque.

Breaking| Israeli forces crack down on worshipers at Al Aqsa mosque leaving injuries

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- At least five injuries have been reported in an Israeli crackdown on worshipers at Al Aqsa mosque. Israeli police broke into the holy mosque and opened fire at worshipers.

Local sources said large Israeli forces stored the courtyards of Al Aqsa mosque and used stun and tear gas bombs against worshipers. Israeli forces also arrested several worshipers.

Confrontations erupted between worshipers and Israeli policemen near Al Silsilah gate after Maghreb prayer and Iftar, when Israeli policemen started assaulting worshipers.

Video| “The Battle of the Chairs”… Sheikh Jarrah locals use chairs to fight back settlers

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Locals of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood confronted Israeli settlers on Thursday night using chairs when the settlers attacked an Iftar gathering of native Palestinians.

Video footage showcases settlers waiting until a group of locals and activists started having their Iftar to attack them using sticks and pepper gas.

The locals fought back throwing chairs and empty bottles at the settlers, forcing them to leave and hide inside a building that they had confiscated earlier.

The settlers had set a tent in front of a building, owned by Al Ghawi family but confiscated by settlers, to welcome an extremist MK, who announced that he would move his office into the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

Dozens of activists had gathered in the neighborhood to prevent the Israeli authorities from confiscating Palestinians houses and give them to settlers.
