Israeli settlers storm the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Days of Palestine – Jerusalem – Dozens of Israeli settlers today, Sunday morning, stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, and performed provocative rituals amid the evacuation of worshipers in the mosque.

Local sources reported that 28 settlers stormed and roamed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli police, through groups that set out from the Mughrabi Gate, through the eastern region of the mosque, to Bab al-Silsila, and carried out provocative tours.

The sources pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces forced a group of elderly women to move away from their sitting places in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, in order to allow the settler to sit alone, as part of the restrictions imposed on Palestinian in the mosque.

The settlers’ incursions are part of the periodic tours they undertake, aiming to change the reality in the Holy City and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Calls continue to all Muslims in the occupied Palestinian interior and the people of Jerusalem, and those who can reach the West Bank residents of Al-Aqsa, to intensify the journey towards the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to rebuild it with worshipers and stationers, in order to thwart the settlers’ plans.

The Israeli occupation forces targeted Jerusalemites through arrests, deportations, and fines, with the aim of removing them from the Al-Aqsa Mosque and leaving it as an easy spot in front of settlement ambitions.

The Israeli occupation targets the employees and guards of Al-Aqsa to arrest, deportation and harassment in order to dissuade them from their role in protecting and securing the mosque.
