Gaza has been under a strict air, ground and sea Israeli blockade since mid-2007
Israeli occupation authorities prevented on Monday entry of Russian anti-corona vaccine, Sputnik, to besieged Gaza Strip, Palestinian Health Minister Mai Keela said.
The vaccines arrived in Beitonya military checkpoint in the occupied West Bank in order to be shipped to the Gaza Strip, the minister said.
“However, the Israeli occupation forces returned them back to Ramallah saying that they did not have the permission from the political level,” she explained.
Gaza has been under a strict air, ground and sea Israeli blockade since mid-2007. In 2012, the UN said that would be “unliveable” by 2020.
