A group of Israeli settlers attacked, on Monday, Palestinian shepherds attending to their sheep at the village of Kiysan near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem.
Settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Abi Hanahal hurled stones and released attack dogs at Palestinian shepherds and their sheep near the village injuring one shepherd, local sources reported.
Khalaf Ebyiat sustained light wounds and some of his sheep where also injured after being hit with a stone hurled by the settlers, sources added.
Recently settler attacks targeting Palestinian shepherds in the area have escalated, head of the village council Ahmad Ghazal told local news sources. He added that settlers are installing new caravans on lands owned by the villages in an attempt to build a new settlement there.
