Israeli settlers assault, injure two Palestinians in West Bank

Such systematic attacks carried out by Israeli Jewish settlers against Palestinian farmers take place on daily basis

Protected by Israeli occupation forces, Israeli Jewish settlers brutally assaulted and injured two Palestinians in small village of Khirbet al-Taweel, southeast of occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

The occupation settlers brutally beat the Palestinian farmers who were ploughing their land in the village, inflicting wounds to their heads, eyewitnesses said.

Medical sources said that the casualties, a father and his son from the nearby town of Majdal Bani Fadl, were admitted to the hospital for urgent treatment.

Israeli settlers began two days ago ploughing Palestinian lands in the area, aiming to seize them eventually.

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely taken seriously by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Settlers‘ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 850,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention.
