Days of Palestine – Gaza – Ahmed Bahar, Acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, called Tuesday the Saudi Shura Council, to urgently intervene with the relevant authorities to release Palestinian political prisoners in Saudi Arabia, especially Dr. Muhammad Al-Khudari, who is over eighty years old, suffers from critical health conditions that pose a real danger to his life.
Bahar said in a letter addressed to Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh, the Chairman of the Majlis ash-Shura of Saudi Arabia, that the Legislative Council aspires to build advanced levels of joint coordination and consolidate the relationship between the Saudi Shura Council and the Legislative Council to support the Palestinian cause in regional and international forums in light of the current challenges and events.
Bahar praised the achievement of the Gulf reconciliation and the success of the Gulf Cooperation Council summit in its forty-first session, as an important step on the road to reuniting the nation and heal the rift between its countries, and strengthening the elements of its unity and cohesion in order to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Gulf peoples in particular and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nation in general.
Meanwhile, he congratulated Dr. Al Sheikh to renew his presidency of the Saudi Shura Council, wishing him more success, stressing the strength of the brotherly and historical relations that unite the Saudi and Palestinian peoples.
He recalled the historical role that the Kingdom, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz played in supporting the Palestinian people and defending their just cause.
