
Days of Palestine – Ramallah – The Commission of Detainees’ Affairs stated that the Palestinian prisoner, Hussein Muhammad Masalma (37 years), from Bethlehem, has leukemia.
The commission’s lawyer, Karim Ajwa, stated, in a press release, that the prisoner Masalma, who has been detained since 2002 and has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, was suffering from pains in the abdomen lately, and he was transferred to Soroka hospital about two weeks ago, and he was diagnosed with leukemia, adding that he had his first chemotherapy session a few days ago.

It is to be mentioned that about 700 prisoners in the occupation prisons are patients, 300 of whom suffer from chronic diseases, including more than 12 prisoners suffering from cancers and tumors.
