The European Union Delegation to the Palestinians today called on Israel to swiftly and fully investigate the shooting of a Palestinian man in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank that left him totally paralyzed.

“Yesterday Israeli forces shot 24-year-old Haroun Abu Aram in his community of Abu Rakeez, Massafer Yatta. The incident occurred while Haroun – whose family was rebuilding its house, demolished in contravention of international law by Israeli forces in November – was defending his property,” said the EU Delegation in a tweet.

“The injuries he sustained left Haroun paralyzed from the neck down.
