A Palestinian citizen was injured today in an attack by groups of settlers against farmers and shepherds in the Palestinian northern Jordan Valley and in Hebron, in the West Bank.
Rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that settlers attacked the shepherds in Ain al-Hilweh area, wounding Hilal Adel Daraghmeh in the head.
Daraghmeh pointed out, during press statements, that settlers are attacking the shepherds almost every day in the northern Jordan Valley, in addition to the occupation policies in the region aimed at displacing them and emptying the valleys of the residents.
Meanwhile, settlers attacked farmers in Susiya village, east of Yatta, south of Hebron.
The Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlement, Ratib al-Jabour, said that settlers of the Susiya settlement, which was forcibly established on Palestinians’ lands east of Yatta, had beaten unarmed farmers from the Harini family in Wadi al-Rakhim.
Jabour indicated during press statements that settlers prevented farmers from planting their lands, which caused fights and injured a number of farmers with bruises.
