Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday amid calls to allow them to enter the “Eid Candlestick” inside Al-Aqsa.
Settlers organized mass incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Al-Mughrabi Gate, whose keys have been controlled by the Israeli authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.
The number of intruders’ settlers reached 275 during the morning and afternoon incursions, with the presence of the Israeli forces in Al-Aqsa Square, in addition to the forces that accompanied them during the storming.
The settlers performed their prayers in Al-Aqsa Square, especially at the Al-Rahma Gate side.
Yesterday, the “Temple Groups” organized a night march at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, carrying a huge candlestick and placing it at several gates to Al-Aqsa from the outside.
The “Temple Groups” group in the ruling Likud Party demanded, in a letter to the party’s president Benjamin Netanyahu, to enable the Jews to perform the climax of the “Lights Day rituals” by lighting the candlestick lights inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
