Israeli forces, on Tuesday, stormed Beit Ummar town, in the southern occupied West Bank, firing live rounds and tear-gas canisters at local Palestinian civilians, causing many to suffocate, according to a local activist.
Palestinian activist, Mohammad Awad told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that Israeli soldiers invaded the Asida region of Beit Ummar town, located northwest of Hebron, occupying a local citizen’s rooftop while blockading the family of the home inside one room.
Awad stated that the the military incursion triggered confrontations between local Palestinian civilians and Israeli troops, the latter then fired live rounds and tear-gas canisters at the protesters, causing dozens of Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear-gas inhalation.
All local Palestinians suffering from inhalation injuries received treatment at the scene.
