Israeli soldiers attacked hundreds of Palestinian demonstrators, on Tuesday, in the northern West Bank, striking 6 with tear-gas canisters, while dozens more suffocated on tear-gas, the Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported.
National factions mobilized a large gathering of peaceful Palestinians to express their condemnation of the Israeli occupation authorities’ destruction of Khirbet Hamsa al-Foqa village, on November 3, 2020.
Protestors carried Palestinian flags and marched towards Khirbet Hamsa al-Foqa village, east of Tubas, in solidarity with the Palestinian community in the northern plains, who were displaced, which displaced more than 85 Palestinians, 35 of whom are children.
The Israeli army opened fire with tear-gas and concussion grenades at demonstrators who oppose Israel’s planned annexation of more Palestinian land, causing six projectile injuries, and dozens more to suffer the toxic effects of tear-gas inhalation.
Four civilians were struck with tear-gas canisters in their feet, and were treated at the scene, while two others needed to be transferred to hospital. One of whom was struck with a tear-gas canister in the head, the other was struck in the abdomen with a tear-gas canister.
Journalists present at the demonstration were obstructed from covering the rally after Israeli forces showered them with tear-gas canisters, forcing them to disperse.
