Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, one Palestinian and caused dozens to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation after the army attacked the weekly procession in Kufur Qaddoum village, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.
Morad Eshteiwi, the coordinator of the Popular Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, said the procession started after Friday noon prayers, when the Palestinians marched denouncing the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation, colonization, and oppression of the Palestinian people.
Eshteiwi added that the soldiers invaded the village, and fired a barrage of gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets at the Palestinians.
One Palestinian, identified as Wael Amer, 20, was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the head, before being rushed to Rafidia hospital, in Nablus, while many others received treatment for the effects of teargas inhalation.
The Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum have been holding weekly processions against the Annexation Wall and colonies, and demanding the army to reopen the main road at the entrance of the village, which was blockaded by the army 17 years ago.
