The Netherlands has renewed its position and firm commitment to support the two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.
This came during an interrogation session for Dutch Foreign Minister Steve Blok and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Sejerd Kaag, by one of the representatives of the far-right party in the Dutch Parliament.
The Netherlands affirmed that the Dutch support for Palestinian associations and institutions is part of the Dutch commitment to achieving the two-state solution, through which a viable Palestinian state is established on the basis of the 1967 borders.
Last July, the Dutch parliament voted on a draft resolution presented by the Socialist Party, which considers the Israeli annexation plan a violation of international law, and calls on the Dutch government and the European Union to take punitive measures against Israel if it goes ahead with plans to annex large parts of the West Bank.
