Awqaf slams settlers’ ongoing violations at Aqsa and Ibrahimi Mosques

Days of Palestine – Jerusalem – The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation police for persisting in allowing Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque on a daily basis and expelling Muslim worshipers from their holy sites.

“Such daily break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque are flagrant aggression against the religious freedoms of Muslims and their places of worship,” deputy Awqaf minister Husam Abul-Rab said in press remarks on Sunday.

“The exposure of the Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque to systematic violations contravening freedom of worship and the protection of religious places like Mosques and mortmain property are acts of religious and cultural persecution against Muslims and their civilizational, historical and traditional existence,” Abul-Rab added.

The deputy minister described these Israeli violations as “a great danger threatening the entire region” and urged the international community and the Arab and Muslim nations to make efforts to stop them.
