Israeli occupation forces carried out on Thursday night large-scale detention campaign across occupied West Bank, detaining 37 Palestinians, including journalist, Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS)reported.

The PPS confirmed in a statement that the Israeli occupation forces rounded up 17 Palestinians from Jerusalem district.

In Bethlehem district, Israeli occupation forces kidnapped three Palestinians from two different areas.

Meanwhile, PPS confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces rounded up eight Palestinians, including an injured boy, in multiple raids across the southern West Bank district of Al-Khalil.

Four of the eight detainees were identified as boys from al-Fawar refugee camp, two others as residents of Beit Ummar town, another as a resident of Adh-Dhahiriya town, and the other as a resident of Hebron city.

In Ramallah and al-Bireh district, the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped four Palestinians, including one suffering from chronic disease.

In the northern West Bank, the PPS confirmed a military raid in the Nablus and kidnapped one Palestinian.

In Jenin district, a military raid was conducted in Sanur town, southwest of the city, resulting in the detention of four brothers.

This came as a journalist was rounded up from his house in Nablus city.

Meanwhile, PPS confirmed a military raid in Tammun town, northeast of Tubas city, resulting in the detention of another Palestinian.

Two others were rounded up in a similar raid in Qalqilia.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
