NAZARETH, PALESTINOW.COM — The Israeli government on Wednesday approved a plan for the construction of 7,000 settlement units in the southern West Bank.
According to Jerusalem Post, Israel’s war minister Naftali Bennett on Wednesday gave the green light for the construction of about 7,000 new housing units in Efrat Settlement in the southern area of the occupied West Bank.
The new settlement project comes at a time when the Israeli government is planning to start the annexation of West Bank settlements with full US support.
Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories blatantly violate international laws and UN conventions, especially Resolution No 2334 by the UN Security Council om 23 December 2017 which demanded an immediate halt to all settlement activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
