We Will Never Abandon Our Prisoners In Israeli Jails: Haneyya

We will never forsake the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and some Arab countries, Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya affirmed on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by Hamas, this came during two phone calls the Hamas leader had with Maan Bashour, head of the Arab International Forum for Palestinian Justice, and Khaled Al-Sufyani, the general coordinator of the National Islamic Conference.

Haneyya discussed with Bashour and Sufyani the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause and the real dangers facing it as a result of the Israeli occupation and its Judaization and settlement plans in Jerusalem and other occupied Palestinian areas.

He also briefed them on the living conditions of the Palestinian people at home and abroad in the midst of the coronavirus spread as well as the issue of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and Saudi Arabia.

The Hamas official emphasized that his Movement would never forsake the detainees in the jails of the Israeli occupation state or some Arab countries, urging popular and official organizations in the Arab world to assume their duties towards the Palestinian prisoners.

For their part, Bashour and Sufyani expressed their thanks to Haneyya for phoning them and valued Hamas’s role in resisting the occupation and its keenness on healing the rifts in the Palestinian and Arab arenas and protecting the Palestinian cause against all plots targeting it.
