The health ministry in the Gaza Strip has advised Palestinian citizens not to leave the enclave and asked them to take necessary precautions so as not to get infected with the coronavirus.
The ministry, in a statement distributed to citizens on Saturday, said that unless there is urgent need for travel citizens should not leave the Strip for the time being.
It added that all those returning to the Strip via the Rafah border crossing will be held in quarantine out of keenness on safety of all residents.
No cases of coronavirus were detected in Gaza while 16 cases were reported in the West Bank.
