The Israeli prime minister’s office yesterday ordered that 12 unauthorised settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank be connected to the state’s power grid, reported the Times of Israel.

There are more than 200 settlements across the occupied Palestinian territory, including at least 100 so-called outposts. Under international law, all settlements are illegal.

In a letter to the defence ministry’s adviser on settlement affairs Avi Roeh, the Director-General of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ronen Peretz, explained the decision on the basis that the outposts in question were “established many years ago on [what is considered] state land”.

Peretz also admitted that the outposts were established “with the government’s encouragement”, an explicit admission of what Palestinians and settler monitors have long maintained.

The head of the prime minister’s office also noted that the government is in the process of retroactively authorising dozens of outposts across the occupied West Bank.

The outposts listed in Peretz’s letter were “Nofei Nehemiah, Havat Yair, Hilltop 851, Maoz Zvi and Shaharit in the northern West Bank; Pnei Kedem, Tekoa D, Esh Kodesh and Achiya in the central West Bank; and Asahel in the southern West Bank”, the Times of Israel reported.

David Elhayani, who chairs the so-called Yesha Council umbrella group of settler mayors, thanked Netanyahu and called the move “another step toward the legalization of all Israeli settlement” in the occupied West Bank.

Yossi Dagan, chair of Samaria Regional Council, also praised the development, but also “called on the prime minister to not forget the dozens of remaining outposts which remain without a stable source of power, such as Havat Gilad.”

“The cabinet voted to legalize the northern West Bank wildcat community last year,” said the report, “but that process has yet to be finalised, and the town remains disconnected from the power grid.”

Two Palestinian Fighters Killed By Israeli Missiles In Damascus

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, has reported that two of its fighters were killed, late on Sunday at night, after Israeli war jets fired missiles into an area in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The Brigades stated that its slain fighters have been identified as Salim Ahmad Salim, 24, and Ziad Ahmad Mansour, 23.

It added that the Israeli offensive on the Arab Syrian capital “is just another example of Tel Aviv’s failure in facing the Palestinian fighters in occupied Palestine.

“This new aggression will not deter us, as it is only another incentive for us to continue our fight for liberation and independence,” the Brigades added, “Our struggle against the Israeli occupation will continue until we achieve our legitimate goals,” and vowed a fierce retaliation.

In related news, Israeli fighter jets fired, on Sunday evening, many missiles into sites run by the Al-Quds Brigades in several areas in the besieged Gaza Strip, after the fighters fired homemade shells into nearby settlements in retaliation to the death of Mohammad Ali Hasan an-Na’em, 27, from Khan Younis, who was killed by army fire before the soldiers crushed his body with the blade of their bulldozer, then grabbed the corpse with the blade and swinging the body back and forth in the air.

Medical sources have confirmed that at least four Palestinians were injured.

ِAbu Hamza, the spokesperson of the Al-Quds Brigades, said in a statement that the brigades will retaliate to the Israeli aggression on Syria resulting in the death of the two fighters.

On Saturday evening, the soldiers abducted a Palestinian merchant, identified as Amer Baraka, at the Erez Terminal, in northern Gaza. He is the third merchant to be taken prisoner at the terminal since the beginning of this year.

Israel carries out genocides against Palestinians as it does not care about human values

I am wondering when the world leaders will take up the lead and end the Zionist occupation and free Palestine or help the Palestinians get rid of this cancer and free themselves

By Motasem A Dalloul

Israeli Defence Minister Naftali Bennett said that “desecrating corpse of Palestinian is not violation of human values… The only violation of human values is only hurting the feelings of Israeli citizens.”

It was shocking to see an armoured Israeli bulldozer pulling the corpse of a Palestinian man after he was killed by the Israeli occupation forces in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. This shocking scene reflected the sadistic innate of the Israeli occupation.

The comment of the Israeli Defence Minister Naftali Bennet on the desecration of the body of the Palestinian man, who was identified as Mohammed al Na’em, proves that he and his occupation state do not care about human values at all except when the issue is related to the Israeli occupiers.

“We do not believe that anything is sacred except the souls and bodies of the Israeli citizens,” Bennet told the Israeli radio. “Desecrating a corpse of a Palestinian terrorist is not a violation of human values,” he added, stressing that “the only violation of human values is hurting the feelings of the Israeli citizens.”

Yesterday’s shocking incident, which shows the body of a slain Palestinian man hanging from the blade of an Israeli military bulldozer after he was shot dead and run over along the eastern fence of Gaza, was unprecedented. No one has ever committed such a crime! This incident was even condemned by the Israeli rights groups and they demanded that a criminal investigation into the incident must be opened.

Adalah, an Israeli rights group, said that the scenes “depicted in the video were viewed as war crimes and blatant violations of international criminal law, and international human rights and humanitarian law.”

This criminal and savage incident was ordered by Bennett who decided to maintain the bodies of Palestinians from Gaza to use as a bargaining chip to put pressure on Hamas — the ruler of the besieged enclave — to release the Israeli soldiers imprisoned in Gaza or to release their remains if they are dead.

Such crimes are not the only thing committed by the Israeli occupation. They commit so many crimes against the Palestinians everyday. For example, the closed a Palestinian bakery in Jerusalem because it supplies bread for the Palestinian worshipers in Al Aqsa Mosque, considering this as a crime.

The antizionist American Jew Norman Finkelstein has said that Israeli occupation “is following the footsteps of evil people by closing Palestinian bakeries.” On his Facebook wall, Finkelstein wrote: “Following in the footsteps of the most evil people in history, Zionists starve Palestinians by closing down bakeries.”

Not only the Palestinians who view the Israeli Zionist occupation as evil, but also all free people around the world, including Jews. So that, when the world leaders will take up the lead and end the Zionist occupation and free Palestine or help the Palestinians get rid of this cancer and free themselves?

Adalah to Israeli Military: This is a War Crime; Open an Immediate Criminal Investigation

Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel sent an urgent letter, Sunday, 23 February 2020, to Israeli Chief Military Advocate General, Sharon Afek, demanding he immediately open a criminal investigation into the incident that occurred Sunday morning near Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip in which an Israeli military armored bulldozer was filmed dragging a human body along the ground and repeatedly lifting it up in the air and dropping it down in the mud.

In the letter, Adalah Attorney, Sawsan Zaher detailed a series of international laws – including the Rome Statute, the UN Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment, and the Hague Regulations – which classify the Israeli military actions depicted in the video as war crimes and blatant violations of international criminal law, and international human rights and humanitarian law.

The Israeli Supreme Court has likewise recognized in past rulings that harm to the dignity of the deceased is a violation of Israel’s Basic Law: Human Dignity and Liberty.

Adalah demands the Israeli military immediately open a criminal investigation into the war crime perpetrated by the Israeli military in the southern Gaza Strip.

Gaza (QNN) – Israeli warplanes resumed airstrikes on Monday evening against Palestinian resistance outposts in the besieged Gaza Strip, causing damage but no casualties.

The fresh airstrikes occurred shortly after the Israeli occupation’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded a security meeting in Tel Aviv today.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA said Israeli drones and fighter jets bombed several locations in Khan Yunis city in the south of the Gaza Strip. There were no immediate reports of injuries even though heavy damage to the locations was reported.

The renewed attacks came on the heels of late last night and early this morning attacks on the Gaza Strip following the Israeli army killing yesterday of a Palestinian in Khan Yunis and mutilating his body with a bulldozer, which provoked rocket attacks by armed groups based in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation fighters and tanks have carried out tens of strikes against Palestinian farmers and what they call military bases of the Islamic Jihad.

In a statement, the Israeli occupation army said that these attacks came in response to over 20 rockets launched from Gaza towards Israeli settlements.

Palestinian fighters launched a number of short-range rockets at Israeli targets near Gaza in response to the Israeli murder of a Palestinian citizen in the early morning and tearing up his body by an armoured bulldozer.

Finkelstein: Israeli follows footstep of evil people by closing Palestinian bakeries

Israel accuses the bakery of supplying bread for Palestinian worshipers at Al Aqsa Mosque

Antizionist American Jew Dr Norman Finkelstein has said that Israeli occupation “is following the footsteps of evil people by closing Palestinian bakeries.”

On his Facebook wall, Finkelstein wrote: “Following in the footsteps of the most evil people in history, Zionists starve Palestinians by closing down bakeries.”

His comment followed an Israeli decision to close a famous Palestinian bakery in the Old City of the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem last week.

Israeli occupation authorities accused the bakery of supplying tradition Palestinian bread, Ka’ek, for the Palestinian worshipers at Al Aqsa Mosque.

Crews from the Israeli municipality and Israeli police stormed the bakery, owned by Abu Naser Abu Sneineh, in the neighbourhood of Bab Hittah and arrested son of the bakery’s owner.

The Israelis municipality closed the bakery, claiming it did not follow working conditions; however, the owner of the bakery stressed that it meets all Israeli occupation conditions, including paying taxes.
