Palestinian youths on Tuesday evening threw firebombs at an Israeli police vehicle and set it ablaze in Issawiya district, east of Occupied Jerusalem.
The incident happened after Israeli police forces stormed neighborhoods in Issawiya, raided homes and clashed with hundreds of local young men.
It has been six months of unrest in Issawiya. Excessive police brutality and indiscriminate daily raids by Israeli forces with no justification have left residents of the East Jerusalem district exhausted – and there is no end in sight.
According to the human rights group B’Tselem, Israeli forces, for long months, have been “detaining hundreds of residents, including minors, issuing traffic tickets for spurious infractions, serving house demolition orders, and committing acts of violence.
